If you know why I am running, then you know I am concerned about the big picture. What I want most is for people to learn more about politics in America and how our country works. While I am glad to except monetary contributions, consider taking the money that you would have given to me, and use it to buy a book and do some reading.
Some suggestions:
Give Me Liberty by Naomi Wolf. Wolf’s book outlines many problems with American democracy today and is a significant inspiration for this campaign.
The Undercover Economist by Tim Harford. In order to make economic policy, we have to know how the economy works. Harford's book is an approachable and entertaining introduction to some basic economic principles.
Contribute physically
We are looking for volunteers to help our campaign. At this stage, we need the most help obtaining signatures for our candidacy petition. In order to get ballot access, we need 5,000 signatures on this petition. If you'd like to help out by carrying a petition around, write to us and let us know.
Contribute financially
If you still want to give to the campaign, you can send a check made out to “Adam Shaffer for Senate” to our mailing address.
Please note that I can only accept contributions from United States citizens. Campaign rules require that you indicate your occupation and employer on your check’s memo field.
